In rather odd news, Dundonald Lidl is being extended and the supermarket chain has applied to have a bar added to it.

It will be attached to the new supermarket but will have a separate entrance and facilities as well, so you won’t be drinking cans of beer next to discount Iron lungs and Pogo sticks in the power aisle.

Good luck to them, the licencing laws in Northern Ireland are awful because it allows nearby businesses (i.e competitors) to pretty much block the competition.

I actually don’t know what to say about Dundonald, other than its been 24 years since I’ve been anywhere near it and I imagine it will be another 24 before I visit again.
