The Albany- which was a pretty decent upmarket pub that offered good food in comfy surroundings to Belfast’s beautiful people- has had its sign changed in a completely pointless and astronomically expensive refurb to open just in time for lockdown.

The Bowery offers the same as The Albany- cocktails, food and a picture of a woman laughing and flicking her hair on the promotional material.

The pub… sorry- bar- promises to offer absolutely nothing different from its previous incarnation. I expect the announcement of VIP areas, private hire booths and CHILLAXED Sundays are just around the corner.
