Interesting bit of background on the award winning Cullercoats brewery- I was surprised to discover that they had been brewing since 2011.
It has only been in the last few years I have started to see their beers gain a wider audience(me included).
If Cullercoats is new to you I can recommend the Shuggy boat blonde, an easy drinking traditional ale, or if you want something that is the drink equivalent of sitting in front of an open fire wearing comfy slippers then their Porthole Coffee porter is a rich, beautifully balanced treat.
It’s also worth checking out the fortified and unrefined versions of the beers as it adds a different to what are already great brews.
