A new Micropub- called Blues- has been given the go-ahead set in the sleepy village of  Whitburn on the outskirts of Sunderland.

Near to the closed Grey Horse pub- which has been at the centre of a successful residence campaign to prevent it being converted to shops and flats- and a stone’s throw from the Beer Bore favourite Jolly Sailor. It is well placed both for locals and those out for a bracing stroll along the seafront.

We don’t have an opening date yet, but when we do we’ll pop along and let you know what we think.
