Not only am I a beer snob, history buff and comic book nerd but to add to my title of most desirable male- I also collect old games consoles.

So it’s with some interest that I read that a bar and retro arcade are opening on Gray Street.

The company- NQ64- already runs popular arcade bars in Manchester and Leeds and they hope to replicate this success by opening a basement venue underneath Zizzi on Grey Street.

I am always sceptical about bars with a unique proposition but hopefully, the operators will try and keep it classy, after all, they are located on Newcastle’s most prestigious street
