Newcastle – Farewell Box Social – Hello Alpha Delta

Box social on Forth Street- a firm Beer Bore favourite- is handing over to Alpha Delta.

The pub, much like every other pub at the minute, is closed and they are taking the opportunity to give the former Split Chimp a bit of spruce up.

The music policy is not going to be your standard craft beer indie wankers selection. Instead, it’s going to be a real ale rock bar. A welcome addition to the rather limited choices of places to drink in for the metal fraternity in Newcastle. 

So, we have a bar that is in a great location, is cosy, with a great music policy and tied to a brewery that produces excellent beer. I can barely wait to check it out.
