The George Stephenson pub, which has been closed for some time, reopened on the 1st of July 2022.

The new licensees took to Facebook to make the announcement. The new owners have a six-month lease and hope to extend the license for a further  10 years.

The Brethren recently completed a pub crawl around West Moor/Killingworth and we were gutted that the Stephenson was closed. It looks like we now have an excuse to revisit
