The Popolo name is no more. After a rather fraught few years of financial troubles – which culminated in the closure of the popular Pilgrim Street bar.

Thankfully, the Popolo brand was saved and moved to Jimmyz/Stein Beir Kellers former Quayside home.

Popolo recently underwent a refurbishment and was quickly followed by a name change to The Emporium. Their offering seems similar to the former Popolos it looks pretty decent inside.

We will endeavour visit soon to see if it is worthy to become our new Sunday afternoon haunt.
