Some decent pub/beer-related news coming out of Reading- three pubs in an area known as “The Village” have been saved/resurrected.

The Lyndhurst, which seemed to have an uncertain future, is reopening after changing hands.

Much beloved local, The Retreat, has been bought by a community group of ex-regulars

The Eldon Arms (a proper, hidden down an alley, “Where did that come from” pub) is reopening as The Weather Station.


Excitingly for you Beer Bores its been bought by Aldermaston-based Wild Weather Ales. From the branding going up its looking like its aiming for the student/craft beer market. Anyway’s it’s always been a nice place, so all the best to this new venture.
