The Golden Lion-  recently gutted in an arson attack- has now been sold, surprisingly*. Details of the new owner are not available at the moment. It seems- surprisingly*- that the pub will be turned into accommodation.

*It’s not really surprising, the pub building couldn’t get sold but now it’s been the victim of a devastating arson attack it seems a lot more appealing to developers.  Strange that.
