I haven’t a clue when this opened, but at least it’s offering something a little different in Sunderland, and it may be the first eSports and gaming bar in the North East.

So to find out about it I donned my local reporter hat and did a deep dive into what AFK is, what it offers, and who are the mysterious people behind this bar?

After a quick look on Facebook I dunno who’s behind it, it doesn’t really matter though, does it? It offers the usual trappings of a modern bar, decent-looking beer, food, and cocktails but with a gaming twist. 

eSports retro and modern gaming etc. 

The place sounds right up my street, but will I get the chance to visit it before its inevitable rebranded relaunch?
