The Old Vestry in Sunderland has reopened after being closed for 20 years.
This randomly popped up on the Facebook feed and I thought ‘those pictures look like they were taken yesterday’.
And it turns out they were.
So I did a bit of digging and it has indeed reopened and it looks exactly the same as it did when it closed which is bizarre. It’s like stepping back in time- for those who never frequented the bar back in the 90’s, it looked pretty much like the old Blackie Boy, it was great inside, dark, cosy, wood, subdued lighting- great for many failed first dates as I got absolutely hammered on their range of Vaux beers.
Toilets were good as well, they where in the basement so your date couldn’t escape through the window.
