I’m not saying that I’ve drank in every average pub in Sunderland but …..

The Wavendon on Sunderland Chester Road is a pointless walk to another Hungry Horse pub. If I recall correctly It was  a spacious and infinitely forgettable

It closed a few years back and became an unsuccessful steakhouse. Shocked and saddened that a steakhouse next to a housing estate state would fail the former owners have decided to make it a pub once more

Greene King  promise to open it as a community hub and try and return to its former glory

I’m glad they are not aiming very high
