The recently revived Vaux brand seems to have gone from strength to strength. So much so they have applied to open a brewery and taproom on some rather sizeable premises on Monk Street, Roker, within stumbling distance of The Stadium of Light.

It seems like a good location, with Vauxs historic ties with the club, and it may encourage the neighbouring pubs around there to up their game a little.

They are hoping to be given the go-ahead in April and have a taproom of sorts open by June.

I still haven’t tried any of their new beers yet, so I think I will save myself for when the new taproom opens.
