Underneath the main entrance of Eldon square on Northumberland street, it must be basement neighbours with Trillians. Seems quite popular with the alternative crowd, but is never heaving. The décor has that 1996 feeling of other Vaux pubs, floral red wall papered, wood, looks the same as Digby’s did in Sunderland. They had no ales on, but it was cheap and the clientele were a friendly bunch
