down the hill from the Maggi bank and short walk from the Wooden Doll, this Samuel smiths pub is a bit of hidden gem, when you walk past the nicely tiled exterior, into the public bar it is along the thin area which has an open fire at one end. As you walk through the bar into a corridor that branches off into the lounge and small room that houses the pool table. The beer is excellent and very cheap; I round for five people came to just over 6 quid. Excellent bar, don’t be put off it location
