One of the best-known pubs in North Shields, and is one of the few remaining Jennings pubs that I know of. Inside it is a bit ….well ya know Pubby, nothing special, however, the beer garden overlooks the mouth of the Tyne and is very pleasant on a sunny day, quaffing a pint of Snecklifter or Cockerhoop. It has been spoilt a bit by the sudden appearance of apartments around it but it doesn’t detract from the view.
